Simon Murphy is an Australia-based communications specialist who brings hands-on understanding of the many reputational issues faced by Australian and international companies across a range of industry sectors.

Widely recognised for his exceptional ability to swiftly understand client needs and for delivering results that earn their trust, Simon is an experienced advisor who combines a data-driven mindset with a people-focused leadership style. Simon brings a balanced, informed decision-making approach as he seeks to help clients meet both their communications and business objectives.

Prior to founding indigo murphy, Simon held senior regional roles at Edelman, the world’s largest independent communications firm. Based in Hong Kong and then Australia, he helped deliver integrated business marketing strategy and execution across the breadth of the firm’s extensive global and regional client portfolio. 

Simon has worked in leadership positions at international agencies in Australia, India and the UK. This extensive international experience has enabled Simon to build a network of trusted associates spanning corporate and public affairs, strategy, creative insight, brand and business marketing, all of whom help fulfil local and global assignments on behalf of indigo murphy clients.
